Our mission at Hu is to help people get back to Human, and that puts acting with Humanity at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to using our company to create positive impact for our fellow humans, especially in times of crisis.
We’ve partnering with City Harvest and Rethink Food to donate Hu products to food-insecure families during these trying times. We donated over 20,000 boxes to provide healthy, pantry-friendly items in response to the hardship caused by COVID-19.
Buy a Box, Give a Box
We launched our Buy a Box, Give a Box initiative to do what we could to support food-insecure communities throughout our hometown of New York City. For every 1 box of Hu Crackers you purchase on Amazon, 1 box was donated to those in need.
We began this initiative in NYC, but are focused on continuing to support various partners across the country to provide food for as many homes as possible.
City Harvest's mission is to end hunger in communities throughout NYC. Their goal is to feed the 1.2 million New Yorkers (including one in five children) who are regularly considered food insecure -- this number is rapidly increasing with recent school closings and job losses.
Rethink Food focuses on providing nutritious foods and meals to New York City families in need. To date, they've collected over 265,000 lbs of food and have provided over 360,000 meals.
