Hu chocolate is made with just 3 simple and familiar ingredients – organic cacao, unrefined organic coconut sugar, and organic cocoa butter, all which are sourced Fairtrade. We avoid things like refined sugar, lecithins, sugar alcohols, and palm oil. Not to be missed are our crave-worthy Salty Dark Chocolate and creamy Nut-Butter-Filled bars – all decadent, indulgent eating experiences that deliver on both taste and ingredient simplicity.

Hu has grown beyond our wildest dreams, and we’ve navigated the monster challenge of shipping our chocolate directly to your home for many years (even in the hot summer months!). As we’ve grown, we've learned that our partners in eCommerce and retail deliver our chocolate with the highest level of quality and efficiency. So, going forward, we’re going to focus on what we do best – making the great chocolate products that you love – and we’ll trust our fantastic partners to get them into your hands! To ensure perfect snacking condition, we recommend keeping Hu chocolate in a cool, dry place, 75 degrees or cooler. Because Hu is crafted without any preservatives or stabilizers, it is susceptible to high and low temperatures, and may cause it to dry out

Yes! All Hu chocolate is USDA certified organic, including our cacao, coconut sugar, cocoa butter, hazelnuts, coffee, vanilla bean, cashews, raspberry, almonds, quinoa, peppermint oil, cacao nibs, orange oil, grass-fed milk, coconut flakes, and goldenberries.

Founded with a mission to unite simple ingredients and unbeatable taste, Hu prioritizes not only those enjoying their products but also better supporting the livelihoods of the farmers that grow the ingredients we source to make our products. As a proud partner of Fairtrade, Hu sources 100% of its cocoa, coconut sugar, cashews, vanilla, and quinoa on Fairtrade terms.

All Hu products are certified gluten-free. Allergen cleans made prior to production, but beware that product is produced using equipment that also processes wheat.

While all of our organic dark chocolate bars, Gems and Hunks are vegan, our organic grass-fed milk chocolate bars are not.

Our organic dark chocolate bars, Gems and Hunks are paleo with the exception of our Almond Butter + Puffed Quinoa and Vanilla Crunch dark chocolate bars, which are considered primal due to the organic fair-trade quinoa. Our organic grass-fed milk chocolate bars are not paleo.

Hu Dark Chocolate is certified kosher by either OU-DE or OK Kosher depending on the product and the kosher status is Kosher Pareve. Hu Grass-Fed Milk Chocolate Bars are certified by OK Kosher and they are certified Kosher Dairy.

Hu base chocolate is crafted from three simple ingredients including our sweetener of choice - unrefined, organic coconut sugar.

The only caffeine in Hu chocolate would be the amount that is naturally occurring in cacao. Our Hazelnut Coffee bar contains 0.06% Caffeine (w/w) (60g) in each bar.
